Edmonds Community College, OSPI, and ASM will be offering three, one-week workshops over the summer designed for secondary science teachers but open to all teachers: Principles of Applied Technology (PT) and Applied Materials Science and Technology (MST). Both classes are 40 hours in length and will be eligible for clock hours. For an additional fee, credit will be available from CWU (Central Washington University). PT will provide relevant experiences in physics as appropriate in a technology environment. Both critical thinking and quantitative reasoning will be integrated throughout the class as well as hands-on experiments.

MST will provide basic materials science knowledge, hands-on activities, laboratory experiments and demonstrations associated with materials science. You will take exercises with you that can be incorporated into your current programs. (The MST workshop is being offered twice.)
