EXCEL FUNDAMENTALS OF VBA

This is a beginning fundamental course covering programming in the Project window of an EXCEL worksheet. Basic Macro and Visual Basic procedures will be covered including: Designing a simple macro, advanced macros, graphical and pivot tables and an introductory portion of getting started with Visual Basic for Applications concepts and procedures. If you are the Office Power User and want to be an EXCEL expert…this course is essential!! Take creative control of Excel. Note: This is neither Visual Basic Studio 6.0 nor VB.NET. No programming experience is necessary.

EXCEL LEVEL 1

Learn how to use the proper menu selections to save and retrieve files, format ranges, add or delete rows and columns. Covers entering text, numbers and formulas, copying, moving, formatting, and data entry techniques. Prerequisite: Windows Basic. Textbook included. (6 hours)

EXCEL LEVEL 2

Learn to use the Paste Function feature; work with the Statistical functions: Average, Max, Min and Count; review Auto Format feature; work with the Date and Time functions; work with and use Range Names; protect cells and the entire spreadsheet document; use the Chart Wizard feature; produce and customize a variety of business charts. Prerequisite: Excel Level 1 or comparable experience. Textbook included. (6 hours)

EXCEL LEVEL 3

Learn to use Paste special features; Format painter; compare the Edit Fill Series feature to Auto Fill; work with the Round(), =Int() and Trunc() functions; use the If() conditional statement and Vlookup() table lookup functions; use the Find and Replace; work with the spell checker; work with Sort, Sub Total and Auto Filter features; and more. Prerequisite: Excel Level 1 and 2 or comparable experience. Textbook included. (6 hours)
